QUOTE BY WILL SCHULTZ* JOY COMES FROM USING YOUR POTENTIAL *

The Difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world’s problem. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was one such exceptional individual who believed in his potential . In spite of carrying first class ticket, he was indiscriminately thrown out of the train by authorities on the instigation of a white person in South Africa. Instead of fleeing the scene Mahatma Gandhi stayed back for 21 years to fight for the right of the Indians. The longest journey to discover his abilities begin with that first step. Gandhi subsequently became one of the most important political & spiritual leaders of his time. He was the preeminent leader in INDIAN independence movement . Gandhi employed non violent obedience that would influence the world as well. Gandhi Ji is called father of the nation ( INDIA ) . Nicknamed as Mahatma , GANDHI JI led INDIA to independence due to his undying spirit.

Ease. Directness. Clearness. Purity . Simple. Achievers have got the art of focusing on what is required and let go of the unwanted. They avoid the clutter. They use their wisdom to cut ambiguity. They are able to convey lucidly the essentials. Indian movie director/ producer Hrishikesh Mukherjee represented one word that is simplicity. It is said that Hrishikesh embedded little simple joys in his creative’s and focused on making others happy. It was his simplicity that made him understand human emotions which reflects in his working. Mukherjee won four national film awards including the prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke award. Eight Filmfare awards were testimony to his skills as well. Someone has quoted nicely *It is so simple to be happy and so difficult to be simple.*

QUOTE BY GORDON RAMSEY * I AM WHAT I AM . A FIGHTER *

Achievers train for a purpose. They train for themselves and train all the time. They think and anticipate well. They improvise and keep on adding to their skills. Even if they lose some time , they emerge as a more stronger soul. MARY KOM is one such fighter Indian champion . Mary was born in a poor tribal family in far flung Indian state of MANIPUR. She worked in the fields and helped her parents. She was inspired to take to Boxing and started learning it with gusto. Mary’s determination and belief in herself started winning her medals and recognition. Mary Kom is the only boxer to have won a medal in each of the six world cup championships so far including 5 Gold medals. Mary also added to her illustrious exploits a bronze in 2012 OLYMPIC GAMES as well as many medals at ASIAN level. Marys’ achievements are all the more noteworthy as Manipur has hardly produced any female idol & MARY has risen like a star from nowhere. No wonder, MARY is nicknamed as MAGNIFICIENT MARY. Mary has been true to her love of boxing and quote of ARNOLD HORSHOK sums it up comprehensively * Winning is nice if you don’t lose your integrity in the process.*

QUOTE BY HENRY DAVID THOREAU* PERSUE SOME PATH HOWEVER NARROW IN WHICH YOU CAN WALK WITH LOVE AND REVERENCE *

Achievers enjoy their journey. They focus on the path chosen by them and do not worry about the outcome. They want to learn, improve and charter their own path . Sania Mirza is an Indian tennis player who has achieved number of firsts for her native country. There was never ever an Indian female tennis player who broke into the first hundred in singles ranking. There was hardly any female Indian tennis prodigy worth mentioning before her. SANIA’s success therefore is very creditable. Sania has achieved highest ranking ever of 27 in singles and five in doubles. Sania has won 14 MEDALS for INDIA in multi discipline colors including two Gold Medals in ASIAD GAMES. This has been supplemented by three GRAND SLAM mixed double titles. Hats off to SANIA for making it to the top despite all odds. Sania epitomizes the quote by GREG ANDERSON * Focus on the journey not the destination *

QUOTE BY NAPOLEAN HILL * STRENGTH AND GROWTH ONLY COME THROUGH CONTNUOUS EFFORT AND STRUGGLE *

Do facilities or lack of adequate facilities make a difference ? Achievers know how to surge ahead in life with or without adequate facilities. They do not look for any excuse. They set their targets and work hard to achieve them. Passion is their fuel and willpower is the catalyst for them. They encounter the opposition & display the courage. Jitu Rai is one such achiever who was born in a poor family in Nepal. Jitu joined Indian Army as a JAWAN in 2006. He started pistol shooting subsequently. Indian Army gave him all the support. Jitu’s hard work and determination took him to new heights of growth. He never made his background or struggles as excuse and kept on improving his shooting prowess. 2014 has been a defining year for him. JITU came into prominence with three medals at World games. Jitu’s phenomenal run has continued subsequently. Jitu has won now Gold medals at 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth as well as 2014 Incheon Asian Games. Jitu Roy epitomizes the quote by Vince Lombardi *Winners never quit and quitters never win *

Information and knowledge is power. Achievers study hard, read a lot and listen. They are curious about every thing. They keep an open mind . They enhance their skill set. They make notes. They never shy in seeking information from others. They make sure to consider viewpoints of others. This takes them outside their comfort zone. They are also ready to challenge assumptions about the world. They also have a never ending process of self study. No wonder, achievers come out as winners. Quote from DAVID BAILY * The best advise that I ever got was that knowledge is power and to keep reading.*

QUOTE BY Marva Collins * Success doesn't come to you…you go to it."

Fire in one's belly sets the tone for the journey of life. This enable the achievers to keep on moving at a fast pace. One old and simple measurement of getting success in one's endeavors is "in the morning after getting up , how impatient you are to reach to your work table". This worked for passionate cricketer Kapil Dev. Kapil Dev started in 1975 his first class cricket at very young age of 16. The fire in his belly propelled him to greater height in the years ahead. Kapil had the energy and determination. In fact Indians were not known really for a quality pace attack which KAPIL changed almost single handedly. By the time Kapil retired, he was holding the world record for most numbers of wickets (434 ) in test cricket . Kapil batting prowess coupled with his pace bowling capabilities made him one of the best all-rounder’s ever to have played cricket. No wonder , KAPIL was the caption of INDIAN CRICKET team which won the world cup in 1983 when

no had even thought that India was worthy of winning the WORLD CUP.
