Novelty
.Newness . Freshness. Bloom. Innovation.
Innovation is the lifeline of this world. Business thrives only if customer
finds it innovative. Innovation is the only certainty in the business. Each
innovation provides users with disruptive value. The focus of such innovations is
the customer. The value that each product gives to the customer supports its
cause. Achievers gives the power to collaborate , create , influence and
be influenced. Steve Jobs is one such entrepreneur, marketer, and
innovator . He was co founder and chairman of APPLE. Quote of STEVE JOBS sums it
comprehensively * Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower.”*

*Quote by Henry Ford ; * If everyone is moving forward together, then success takes care of itself.*
Concerto. Piece of Music. Masterpiece.
Symphony. Symphony creates the highest potential of music when all team members
perform. When the entire team contributes , only then the performance is superlative. This is applicable
to all fields . The phenomenal success can be achieved only when the whole
group performs , whether it is organization or sports or any other team work. World cup winning cricket team of 1983 of INDIA was one such team
which fired together as a group. This team was never considered to be as
front runners for the championship. However, the team gained from strength to
strength and came from nowhere to lift the cup. This incredible win gave lot of
joy to all Indians and became an iconic event in Indian sport history. Quote
from the great Jazz Pianist Oscar Peterson sums it up very nicely * It’s the
group sound that’s important , even when you are playing a solo”

INNOVATION IS THE ONLY CERTAINTY IN THE BUSINESS
Innovative
technologies impact our lives every day. Each innovation provides users with
disruptive value. The focus is the customer. The value that each product gives
to the customer supports its cause. Achiever gives the power to collaborate ,
create , influence and be influenced. Apple is a top notch American multinational corporation
which believes in innovation. This
innovative company has captured imagination of the entire world by its innovative
products. To name a few, Mac
computer , I Pad media player , I phones
, & Software(OS X) . Apple enjoys high level of brand and is the
world’s most valuable brand with total worth of 118.9 billion dollars( as at end 2014 ) . No wonder, Apple has set a record on wall
street – it is the first US company to be worth more than $ 700 billion based
on the value of its stock at the close of trading on 11-2-15. That's almost
twice the value of the next biggest company , oil giant Exon Mobile . Also, one of the core drivers of this
innovation was Steve Jobs who was
cofounder and chairman of APPLE. Steve is widely recognized as pioneer of
personal computer revolution as well his charismatic influence on consumer
electronics. In fact , STEVE totally dominated his domain. Steve’s ability to
make his offerings more customer friendly meant that competitors had to almost
close shop like walkman, digital auto tapes, recorders, cassettes etc .
The competitors had to start from scratch and then find ways to copy him. Quote
of STEVE JOBS sums it up comprehensively * Innovation distinguishes between a
leader and a follower.”*

Quote from STEFFI GRAF * I NEVER LOOK BACK, I LOOK FORWARD *
You
will fail sometimes and that’s ok. Your past does not equal your future. All
that matters is what you do right now. STEFFI GRAF was one such young player
who never looked back after her defeats and aspired to do better and better. In
1985 and early 1986 Steffi kept on losing to more famous lawn tennis players
CHRIS EVERT and MARTINA NAVRATILOVA .During that period , STEFFI lost six times to CHRIS and 3 times
to MARTINA but never lost hope. Steffi
subsequently almost won everywhere and against almost every opponent. Steffi
won 22 GRAND SLAM singles titles. This is the most major titles won by any male
or female player during open era. She became the only player ( male or female )
to win a calendar year golden slam by winning all four grand slams single
titles and Olympic gold in the same year.Steffi also held the number 1 ranking
for a record period of 377 weeks. Her forehand was so bullet like and earned
her nickname of MISS FOREHAND.

Quote by Ralph Marston* Excellence is not a skill. It is an attitude. *
Title
Holder. Torchbearer. Prime Mover. Warrior. Champion. How do you define a
sportsman who easily surpasses all opponents?
Serena
is one such champion who has now won 19 GRAND SLAM titles in LAWN TENNIS ( as
on 1-2-15 ). Now , Serena is all time third on this list of highest
number of grand slam titles. No women player in recent times has dominated
tennis like Serena. Her consistency & mental toughness is amazing at the
age of 33. Serena’s power game, athleticism and skills have fascinated the
tennis commentators as well as fans. Serena’s attitude and aggressiveness
adds to her persona. No wonder, winning has become a habit for her.
Despite fitness concerns of late, Serena has continuously won big tournaments
with ease. Serena Williams sums up her winning theory in the quote *When you
lose, you get up, you make it better, You try again *
SPORTMANSHIP STILL EXIST
Does ruthless world of sports
has some heart ?.Yes ! It was evident with TIM SMYCZEK was playing recently with Rafael Nadal in
Australian open Championship 2015 . SMYCZEK lost the match 7-5 in the decider
but displayed a gesture of sportsmanship, so rarely seen in tennis where the
call of a chair umpire usually overrides the conscience of many a player . This
has left an indelible mark over the tournament. Smyczek dismissed his
gesture with a one liner in his press conference " You know I though it
was the right thing to do ." But Nadal was clearly appreciative of the
American ." I want to congratulate Tim, he has real gentleman for
what he did. Not a lot a people will do this at 6-5 in the fifth."Novak
Djokovic was also impressed " its nice to have something that
is greater than sport itself, you know , the sportsmanship and fair play". It was an
extraordinary moment , beautiful and memorable.
This also dispels the notion that sportsman spirit as a wider virtue is
dying . This happens because players
like TIM SMYCZEK exist still. Quote from Nastia
Liukin sums it up comprehensively* It’s because you love the sport. *
