QUOTE BY GORDON RAMSEY * I AM WHAT I AM . A FIGHTER *

Achievers train for a purpose. They train for themselves and train all the time. They think and anticipate well. They improvise and keep on adding to their skills. Even if they lose some time , they emerge as a more stronger soul. MARY KOM is one such fighter Indian champion . Mary was born in a poor tribal family in far flung Indian state of MANIPUR. She worked in the fields and helped her parents. She was inspired to take to Boxing and started learning it with gusto. Mary’s determination and belief in herself started winning her medals and recognition. Mary Kom is the only boxer to have won a medal in each of the six world cup championships so far including 5 Gold medals. Mary also added to her illustrious exploits a bronze in 2012 OLYMPIC GAMES as well as many medals at ASIAN level. Marys’ achievements are all the more noteworthy as Manipur has hardly produced any female idol & MARY has risen like a star from nowhere. No wonder, MARY is nicknamed as MAGNIFICIENT MARY. Mary has been true to her love of boxing and quote of ARNOLD HORSHOK sums it up comprehensively * Winning is nice if you don’t lose your integrity in the process.*

QUOTE BY HENRY DAVID THOREAU* PERSUE SOME PATH HOWEVER NARROW IN WHICH YOU CAN WALK WITH LOVE AND REVERENCE *

Achievers enjoy their journey. They focus on the path chosen by them and do not worry about the outcome. They want to learn, improve and charter their own path . Sania Mirza is an Indian tennis player who has achieved number of firsts for her native country. There was never ever an Indian female tennis player who broke into the first hundred in singles ranking. There was hardly any female Indian tennis prodigy worth mentioning before her. SANIA’s success therefore is very creditable. Sania has achieved highest ranking ever of 27 in singles and five in doubles. Sania has won 14 MEDALS for INDIA in multi discipline colors including two Gold Medals in ASIAD GAMES. This has been supplemented by three GRAND SLAM mixed double titles. Hats off to SANIA for making it to the top despite all odds. Sania epitomizes the quote by GREG ANDERSON * Focus on the journey not the destination *

QUOTE BY NAPOLEAN HILL * STRENGTH AND GROWTH ONLY COME THROUGH CONTNUOUS EFFORT AND STRUGGLE *

Do facilities or lack of adequate facilities make a difference ? Achievers know how to surge ahead in life with or without adequate facilities. They do not look for any excuse. They set their targets and work hard to achieve them. Passion is their fuel and willpower is the catalyst for them. They encounter the opposition & display the courage. Jitu Rai is one such achiever who was born in a poor family in Nepal. Jitu joined Indian Army as a JAWAN in 2006. He started pistol shooting subsequently. Indian Army gave him all the support. Jitu’s hard work and determination took him to new heights of growth. Jitu’s phenomenal run has continued subsequently. Jitu has won now Gold medals at 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth as well as 2014 Incheon Asian Games. QUOTE BY Marva Collins * Success doesn't come to you…you go to it."

Fire in one's belly sets the tone for the journey of life. This enable the achievers to keep on moving at a fast pace. One old and simple measurement of getting success in one's endeavors is "in the morning after getting up , how impatient you are to reach to your work table". This worked for passionate cricketer Kapil Dev. Kapil Dev started in 1975 his first class cricket at very young age of 16. The fire in his belly propelled him to greater height in the years ahead. Kapil had the energy and determination. In fact Indians were not known really for a quality pace attack which KAPIL changed almost single handedly. By the time Kapil retired, he was holding the world record for most numbers of wickets (434 ) in test cricket . Kapil batting prowess coupled with his pace bowling capabilities made him one of the best all-rounder’s ever to have played cricket. No wonder , KAPIL was the caption of INDIAN CRICKET team which won the world cup in 1983 when
no had even thought that India was worthy of winning the WORLD CUP.

QUOTE * Don't shirk away from challenges... keep reaching for that star, that sky.*

Accomplishing things that are impossible can be a great way to challenge yourself . This also gives an opportunity to know your true strength. This can be only done if one embarks on an ambitious project or journey which stretches you. Achievers immerse themselves in tough projects or activities. They do not compare their performance with others. Sergey Bubka was one such exceptional athlete who used to challenge himself again and again. He absolutely dominated his event "POLE VAULT" . He cleared six meters for the first time in July 1985, which was being considered till then as unattainable. Subsequently Bubka improved his record again and again till he reached his career best and the then world record of 6.14 meters. BUBKAs dominance is illustrated from the fact that he broke world record for man’s pole vaulting 35 TIMES .

Quote by Maurice Young * To become a master at any skill, it takes the total effort of your: heart, mind, and soul working together in tandem.*

Mastery on any subject means whether one can influence the subject totally. Achievers dive deep into their subject and live it fully .They go across line of fear and rejection .They also learn from stumbling .They rise again and keep walking until we no longer notices their effortless walking. Dhyan Chand was one such exceptional Indian Hokey wizard. Dhyan Chand is remembered for his mastery on hockey and for his astounding skills. One testimony of his skills is that Hitler offered him German Citizenship and position in German Military following his exceptional performance in the 1936 Berlin Olympics. QUOTE FROM THEODORE ROOSEVELT * IT IS HARD TO FAIL BUT IT IS WORSE NEVER TO HAVE TRIED TO SUCCEED *

Collapse. Breakdown. Fiasco. Flop. Failure. Each one of us has to go through this kind of phase in life. Not all of us get success quickly. But does everyone try hard? Most of us get disappointed & loose the track. The achievers bring their mettle to fore in situations like to this. They multiply their efforts. They work hard. They gather more wisdom. They reflect and enhance their self confidence by working on the shortcomings. No wonder, achievers succeed. One such brilliant entrepreneur was Colonel Sanders( founder of the famous KFC chain ) who was rejected 1009 times before finding a taker for his chicken recipe. GANDHI JI; The man with the indefatigable spirit

Energy. Essence . Spirit. This is the non physical part of a person which is the seat of emotions and character , the soul. It is the quality of courage inside you . This SPIRIT is the very essence of human life. However only very few people understand the depth of their spirit . The best way to extract more out of your spirit is to believe in self and keep on doing what you think is right. The achievers dive into their inner self with relish. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was one such exceptional individual with indefatigable spirit. QUOTE BY JAMES ALLEN * SOW A CHARACTER AND YOU REAP A DESTINY*

Hard way. Labor. Tough grind. That is what life is all about. We become impatient often when things are not going our way. But we have to remember here about Chinese bamboo. You can take a Chinese Bamboo seed and plant it in the ground ,water and nurture the seed for an entire year and not even see a single sprout . In fact , you will not see a sprout for 5 years . But suddenly , a tiny shoot will spring from the ground . And over the next 6 weeks, the plant can grow as tall as 90 feet. It can grow as fast as 39 inches every 24 hours . You can literally watch the plant grow. What was the plant doing during these 5 years , seemingly dormant period , it was growing its roots. For 5 full years it was preparing itself for rapid full growth . Without this root structure , the plant simply could not support itself for its future growth . Some would say the plant grew 90feet in 6 weeks, I would say it grew 90 feet in 5 years and 6 weeks. So keep watering and nurturing yourself. One day you will sprout and may be grow as fast as Chinese Bamboo tree. No one becomes a mid night success , there are years of labor and pain behind it.

THERE IS NO BETTER MOMENT TO PLAN ANOTHER SUCCESS AFTER ONE SUCCESS

Flying colors. Win. Triumph. Victory . Success.Achievers focus on a goal and drive themselves relentlessly to succeed. Are these the only qualities that unite all great men and women? No doubt those attributes are important to their success, but there is more to it. Perhaps the most important quality found is that they do not stop at one moment of success. The names that generations remember are the ones that were never content to rest on their laurels, but instead push forward to achieve the impossible again and again. They have got intensity and hunger that isn’t satisfied with one great victory. Alexander the Great is one such emperor who was creator of a very vast empire . Many generals have won great battles, but Alexander won seven major battles and conquered two million square miles of the globe. Perhaps the most important quality found in him was that he did not stop at one moment of success. * Mary Renault quotes meaningfully “One must live as if it would be forever, and as if one might die each moment. Always both at once *

His first product was a brand new idea -- a small, transistorized radio that could fit in your pocket. As it was, a US company built such a radio first, but more as a gimmick than an actual product. When Sony, as Morita's company was soon renamed, came out with their radio, it quickly took over the market. Subsequently the floodgates of creativity opened. First transistor television . Invention of the walkman & so many other products. No wonder, BRAND SONY is well respected throughout the world till date. SOMEBODY HAS TO BE THE CHAMP. IT MIGHT AS WELL BE YOU

Superior. Illustrious. Premier. First class . Champion. Champions are made, not born. When they are all born , they are babies only. The difference then becomes the approach and attitude towards life. Dream coupled with superlative hard work results in unparalleled success. Muhammad Ali is one such achiever who is also one of the most recognized sports figures of last 100 years. Ali is widely regarded for his skills along with his habit of always taking the establishment & media head on . Quote from Mother Teresa * Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin.*

Today . Immediate. First off. Now. Right away. Each second is precious . Do we spent it meaningfully or waste it ? Achievers have their time priority mapped out clearly. They are able to do this day in and day out. Achievers immediately wear the hat which is most opportune at that moment which can be any of these ; * Think Logically. Focus. Multitasking. Delegating. Be organized *. The clock ticks but we have to count the seconds and bring in our productivity. No wonder ,achievers leave their footprints through productive deeds. Marie B. Quote from Beverly Sills * There are no shortcuts to any place worth going*

Tenacity. Doggedness. Determination. Do you have any of these traits in you ? . This is the question achievers ask themselves many times. Their firmness keeps them on the winning track in spite of the odds stacked against them many times. The tough gets going when the going gets tough. The achievers make their own destiny and take all adversities in their stride. Stephen Hawking has a motor neuron disease which has worsened over the years. Stephen got this when he was in his early twenties and aspiring to become a top notch scientist. Initially Stephen lost his ability to write , however he developed visual methods including seeing equations in terms of geometry. Despite his failing health , he was fiercely independent and did not seek even an iota of help from any one towards his dream of becoming an iconic scientist. No wonder , STEPHEN is known in entire world for his significant scientific achievements including Hawking radiation, work on framework of general relativity and his work on popular sciences.

Quote by Collin Powell *Perpetual Optimism is a force multiplier*

Gloom. Despair. Dim view. Low spirit. Pessimism. Achievers do not have these words in their dictionary. They are able to see light at the end of tunnel. They have optimism in their capabilities . They consistently work with enthusiasm & achieve their goals. Sylvester Stallone is well-known for action roles in Hollywood & wrote every episode of two extremely popular series * ROCKY * and *RAMBO*. However , what is not well known is his disability at the time of his birth. Due to negligence by doctors at his birth, his nerve was severed and caused paralysis in parts of his face. As a result the lower side of his face is paralyzed . Initially for few years , he was struggling and getting miniscule roles in movies due to his features. However, Stallone used his snarling look & slightly blurred speech to advantage in his movie roles. Due to his optimism and believe in his capabilities, he went on to become one of the all time action greats of Hollywood. Sylvester Stallone quotes * I believe any success in life is made by going into an area with a blind , furious optimism *
