Therefore they are able to contribute to the environment at a very accelerated rate. Swami Vivekanada was one such exceptional individual & a universally well known Indian monk .He had vast knowledge of Eastern and Western culture due to his deep spiritual insight and vast knowledge. He is credited with introduction of Indian philosophies of Vedanta and Yoga to the western world. He travelled widely in India and West. His teachings focused on human awakening and human development & therefore was extremely popular universally. His birthday is celebrated as national youth day in India.
